FNW and Doii Paris

While my visit in Paris, I met the Korean designer Doii Lee. The truth is that I got really impressed with her designs...they immediately cought my attention...so original and so fresh! She is using a unique method by combining transparent sequins together with other beautiful and fun fabrics. The result is amazing; the garments are very feminine and glamorous.

After finishing her studies in Central St. Martins College, Doii Lee worked for Christian Dior and then for Kenzo. At the moment, she is presenting her collections during Paris Fashion Week and Seoul Fashion Week. Her line, Doii Paris, is sold in many countries around the world with a very strong presence in Middle East. You can read more about Doii at the section of Biographies.

From next season onwards, Fashion Net World will be representing Doii Paris in Cyprus.

Durante mi visita a Paris, conocí la diseñadora Koreana Doii Lee. La verdad es que me quedé impresionada con sus diseños...me llamaron la atención inmediatamente...¡tan originales y tan frescos!. Está utilizando una metodo única combinando lentejuelas transparentes junto a otros tejidos divertidos. El resultado es increible; prendas muy femeninas y glamurosas.

Después de terminar sus estudios en Central St. Martins College, Doii Lee trabajó para Christian Dior, y después con Kenzo. De momento, está presentando sus colecciones durante la semana de la moda de Paris y de Seoul. Su linea, Doii Paris, se vende en muchos paises con una presencia muy fuerte en Middle East. El Domingo pasado, Miriam Ocariz presentó su desfile durante 'Cibeles', la semana de la Moda de Madrid. Su nueva colección para el proximo Otoño-Invierno 2009/10, es una colección muy romantica, que combina materiales tecnológicos con seda, voile, y gasas. El negro, el gris, el mostaza, y el rojo son los protagonistas de esta increible colección. Ailanto inspired by 'The Happy Prince'

One of the nicest collections presented during the last edition of Cibeles. Ailanto, inspired by 'The Happy Prince' of Oscar Wilde as well as the Slavic Princesses, presented a very elegant collection where the military look as well as the navy look are contrasting with materials such as silk chiffon and cotton voile. The amazing prints of Ailanto are also present, some reminding figures from 'The Happy Prince'.

Una de las colecciones más bonitas presentada durante la última edición de Cibeles. Ailanto, inspirado de 'El principe felíz' de Oscar Wilde y las Princesas Eslavas, ha presentado una colección muy elegante donde el look militar y el look marinero contrastan con chiffon de seda y voile de algodón. Los increibles prints de Ailanto estaban también presentes, algunos recordando 'el Principe Felíz'.

A visit to the showroom of Josep Font

A visit to the showroom of Josep Font in Barcelona is always a pleasure. I was indeed very impressed for next season's collection. I really had difficulty in deciding what to order for me. Some pieces in fucsia silk were really impressive. I got myself a bolero. This year Josep Font was inspired by the Haute Couture collection. Therefore, some pieces are worth having in the wordrobe...real masterpieces. I also had a look at the 'book' they are preparing for each shop of Josep Font. Each one will be different from the other. It is like a diary written by a fairy queen...romantic and magical (see photo).

Una visita al showroom the Josep Font en Barcelona siempre es placentera. Estaba muy impresionada de la colección de la proxima temporada. Realmente tenía dificultad en decidir que pedir para mi. Unas piezas en seda fucsia eran muy impresionantes. Me he quedado con un bolero. Este año, Josep Font se ha inspirado de su colección de la Alta Costura. Algunas piezas se tienen que tener en la guardaropa...son piezas de arte. También he visto al 'book' que están preparando para cada tienda de Josep Font. Cada uno será diferente del otro. Es como un diario escrito por una ada...romantico y magico (ver foto).

Beige, brown, and grey for a very sophisticated and cosmopolitan collection. This time, the classic prints of Miriam Ocariz are in pink and blue. Mums and daughters will be able to match up this summer as some of the prints are going to be used for her new collection for girls.
